Louis Poulsen PH SNOWBALL pendant light
The PH Snowball delivers completely glare-free light. The light follows Poul Henningsen's principle of a reflective three-shade system that directs most of the light downwards. At the same time it radiates to the sides, so that the lit luminaire illuminates itself. The shades are coloured on the outside and white lacquered on the inside.

Which colour is available with which bulb?
White / High Lustre Chrome: E27 (734 lm) or LED – the "Bulb / lighting control" selection only appears with this colour:
- LED 3000–1800K Dim-to-Warm, 894 lm, optionally with control via Bluetooth, DALI or phase dimming (wall switch)
- LED 3000K, 1085 lm, control via DALI
Soft White, Dusty Blue and Dusty Green – each with High Lustre Chrome or Brass Metallised frame: E27 only (734 lm).
What do the specifications mean?
- Bulb – E27 / LED: E27 is the large screw fitting for a commercially available, replaceable bulb. In the LED versions, the light source is permanently fitted in the luminaire, with the driver located in the canopy.
- Dim-to-Warm (D2W): When dimmed, the light not only becomes darker but also warmer – from 3000 K at full brightness down to 1800 K.
- 3000 K: warm white light with a fixed colour temperature, without Dim-to-Warm.
- Bluetooth: The luminaire is operated wirelessly via smartphone or tablet (Casambi). A wireless wall switch (Casambi Xpress) is also available; in certain cases, existing switches can continue to be used via the Casambi 4CH push-button interface. This version cannot be dimmed with a conventional dimmer.
- DALI: Digital Addressable Lighting Interface, a standardised digital interface for lighting control. The luminaire is switched and dimmed via a DALI control unit (e.g. from the home or building management system). This control unit must be provided on site.
- Phase dimming (wall switch): The luminaire is dimmed directly via the mains voltage using a dimmer at the wall switch – the usual solution for private households, without an additional control unit.
