Ethnicraft Eye armchair
The Eye lounge chair by Ethnicraft combines an elegant, sculptural design language with the natural warmth of solid oak. Slender, angular front legs meet flowing, soft transitions, giving the chair a light, harmonious and at the same time characterful appearance.
Particularly striking is the curved backrest, whose silhouette recalls a winking eye and gives the Eye lounge chair its name. The soft curves of the backrest form an engaging contrast to the more linear legs and underline the sculptural character of the design.
The Eye lounge chair was designed by Alain van Havre. His design combines subtle elegance with an expressive, modern note. The all-wood construction shows off the natural grain of the oak particularly beautifully and makes the chair a characterful piece for modern and timeless living spaces.
With its generous seat surface and ergonomically curved backrest, the Eye lounge chair is ideal for relaxed seating areas, reading corners or as a standalone piece in the living room. Despite its striking design, the open wooden construction keeps the effect light and elegant.
Material
The Eye lounge chair is made entirely from solid oak. The surface is given a hardwax oil finish that emphasises the natural grain and warm character of the oak while protecting the wood. This preserves the authentic feel of the solid wood and gives the chair its natural, high-quality appearance.
