Børge Mogensen was known as the "people's designer" for his durable, high-quality furniture that focused on the needs of the user. In the late 1960s he developed the Deck Chair Series originally for his own balcony. Since there was a lack of garden furniture that was comfortable, functional and space-saving, he developed foldable designs that could hang on the wall when not in use. The reclined Wood Frame of the BM5565 Deck Chair with Footrest gives the chair a welcoming and honest appearance. It is made from hard, strong teak for maximum durability and left untreated so it develops a beautiful patina over time. The Wood Frame follows the natural curves of the Body to provide optimal comfort as well as a light and elegant expression that fits perfectly with a relaxed outdoor space. The matching loose Cushion pad is made from weather-resistant Sunbrella Fabric, which not only has a natural look but is also easy to clean.
The BM5565 is made exclusively in untreated teak – no other Version is available. The fittings are stainless steel, and the deck chair is foldable. A Cushion in Sunbrella Heritage Papyrus 18006 is included; an additional Cushion is available at extra cost.
