The low tables, designed to complement the sofas and chairs, have tops of glazed lava stone tiles. They are available in two sizes with a frame of lacquered steel rod. The collection is enriched and completed by a range of round tables offering several surface solutions in a variety of forms, sizes and materials.
The dining tables mirror the design and the colour tones of the seating, but use steel instead of aluminium to carry striking tops of enamelled lava stone. The lava stone comes from the slopes of Mount Etna (Sicily, Italy) and is available in large rectangular tiles in three vivid colours that harmonise perfectly with the whole collection. The glazed surface consists of a special material obtained by recycling the glass of discarded TV and PC monitors and applied directly to the stone in an exclusive manufacturing process. The tables come in two sizes, seating six and eight people respectively.
Borea is a contemporary and versatile garden furniture collection designed by Piero Lissoni. The pieces have a metal frame formed from tubing, with a flowing, seamless design free of joints and interruptions. To create a collection with an unmistakable style, the Borea is manufactured using new technologies of the kind typically employed in aviation. The lounge collection comprises two- and three-seater sofas, a large armchair, a low small armchair and a dining chair, all fitted with a stackable lacquered aluminium frame. Generous cushions provide comfort; they are not only soft and relaxing but have also been developed sustainably. The cushions consist of a polyester-fibre filling made from recycled PET plastic bottles, wrapped around a core of polyurethane in different densities. Upholstering a Borea three-seater sofa requires 510 bottles of 1500 ml, the two-seater sofa 390 bottles and the armchair 280.
