About the most comfortable thing that can happen to oiled walnut – an armchair called SOVA that lives up to its name.
The frame is American walnut, oiled and waxed, and it stays visible: the legs splay outward at an angle, the apron tapers in a fine fork towards the foot, and at the back three cross struts hold the cushion in place. Inside, a webbing weave made of flax fibres provides support – no metal, no springs.
The cushions are filled with kapok, the plant-based down that already gives the SOVA bed its feel. They are soft without sagging, and the covers are removable – an armchair that can be freshened up again after years of use.
With a seat height of 37 cm and a seat depth of 70 cm, you sit low and reclined. Eight fabric collections and four leathers are available to choose from. more can also process customer-supplied fabric, though we don't stock it ourselves; please contact us for this.
