At first glance, the HARRI table by Peter Fehrentz appears understated. Only the details reveal the effort behind it: an optional brass end cap on the table legs and a wood inlay in the frame that picks up the tone of the table top.
The drawer system is what distinguishes this table from the fixed HARRI: under the table top, at one or both ends of the table, sits a drawer holding the foldable extension leaf. When extended, the frame stays in place – the table does not move through the room. Each extension leaf adds 60 cm; with two leaves, the table grows by 120 cm.
Here, the table top is 2.8 cm thick, with the grain running lengthwise but not continuously. The drawer is made of dark bronze anodised aluminium with a black powder-coated steel fascia. The soft curve at the narrow ends softens the long table's otherwise strict lines. The extension leaf follows the shape of the table top.
