Teak parasols from Weishäupl The ribs, hubs and mast are made of solid teak and are surface-impregnated. (The hubs and mast are glued waterproof in multiple layers. This laminated quality lends them high strength.) The teak frame guarantees extreme longevity in terms of weathering and rot. Teak owes its outstanding weather resistance and looks to its various natural constituents, whose natural leaching can cause discolouration of the canopies.

The film fitted between frame and canopy for transport is removed before first use. The canopies are made of fabric-reinforced cotton blend (50% polyester, 50% cotton) or DOLAN® (100% acrylic fabric) and are always produced with a so-called air vent. These fabrics are impregnated to be water-repellent and rot-resistant. Complete impermeability to water in persistent rain, however, cannot be guaranteed. Valances and side panels can be fitted as with the KLASSIKER.
