Ethimo Rotin

Rotin is a lounge collection that tells the story of a modern way of thinking about and enjoying outdoor places of relaxation, redefined. Rotin consists of a sofa, a lounge chair, a coffee table and a footstool with a frame of stained teak. It is inspired by the Asian tradition in which bamboo serves as the principal element for furnishing outdoor spaces, together with techniques normally used in the making of rattan furniture.

The colour and decorative value of this collection is underlined by fabrics in intense tones and finishes. The tops of the side tables in particular stand out for an especially creative use of colour, with unique patterns and exceptional handwork. They are in fact made entirely by hand from enamelled lava stone, broken marble or cement, bringing to life wonderful compositions inspired by the Palladian technique. The original combination of these “details” in stone comes from the use of three types of marble – Verde Guatemala, Cipollino and Bardiglio – with cement mortar running between them to create elegant geometric patterns on the surface.
