Console and table in one: B 109, with its hinged table top, was developed at a time when living spaces were considerably smaller than they are today. With the table top folded, it stands against the wall as a console (depth: 45 cm). When needed, the top is turned, folded out and fixed in place, creating a table with a top size of 90 x 90 cm. The B 109 is one of the tubular steel classics from the 1920s and 1930s. The Thonet collection of tubular steel furniture, developed by renowned architects, was supplemented at the time by numerous in-house designs.
The THONET B 109 folding table stands against the wall as a 45 cm deep console when folded, and can be enlarged to a top size of 90 x 90 cm. The top is locked in place with two ball catches. The frame is made of chrome-plated tubular steel, and the 20 mm thick top is made of MDF with black laminate, anti-fingerprint, and ABS edging. The table is 74 cm high and weighs 17 kg. It comes as standard without glides; plastic or felt glides and the ThonetClip® cable clip are available for an additional charge.
