Programme 2000 references our origins in a contemporary way. The 2002 sofa and 2001 armchair have a high recognition value and are based on an airy-looking frame of bent wood that spans a plump, floor-length seat cushion on each side while also forming the armrests. The delicate wooden bow gives the sofa and armchair a particularly light appearance – they also cut a fine figure free-standing. On the sofa, the loose back and side cushions can be combined as desired. Thanks to its reduced shape and high seating comfort, the bentwood sofa is suited not only to private settings. It also forms a sociable meeting point in modern office landscapes. The 2002 H footstool, which can also serve as a stool or side table, mirrors the volume and seam lines of the seat cushions on the armchair and sofa. Together with the armchair and sofa, it allows complete lounge landscapes to be created that appear both dynamic and harmonious.
The THONET 2011 back cushion is a loose cushion for the 2002 bentwood sofa. Two of these cushions are included with the sofa; further cushions can be added and combined as desired with the 2012 side cushions. The cushion is available in the fabric and leather qualities of the Thonet collection.
