GRAU, an interdisciplinary team of 150 creative minds, is led by the artists Timon and Melchior Grau. GRAU's light sculptures are presented in museum exhibitions worldwide and a total of 89 of their luminaires have won renowned design awards.
Over more than 10 years, GRAU developed "Sunset Dimming", a light that imitates the natural sunset and has a calming effect on body and mind. It supports the natural biorhythm and melatonin production, which promotes relaxation. Particularly recommended in the evening and at night, this warm light has no blue component, which has a positive effect on health. Unlike cold, blue light, which disrupts the sleep-wake cycle, "Sunset Dimming" regulates this cycle and promotes health.
Parrot Floor is the flexible floor lamp in anodised aluminium. Its head, endlessly rotatable through 360°, allows flexible lighting – from focused reading light to soft ambient light. Vibes (dynamic light scenes) and Sunset Dimming (blue-free light) create a cosy atmosphere and support sleep. The Parrot Floor Portable is the mobile version and can be charged with the charging stone. The head lying tangentially on the shaft gives the design its sculptural appearance. Designed and manufactured at the GRAU Campus in Germany.
Warm Dim: Warm Dim regulates the colour temperature of the light automatically as it is dimmed. Dim up for a clear, radiant light and dim down for a soft glow. The colour temperature is 2700K at maximum brightness and a warm 2200K at the lowest brightness.
