GRAU, an interdisciplinary team of 150 creative minds, is led by the artists Timon and Melchior Grau. GRAU's light sculptures are presented in museum exhibitions worldwide and a total of 89 of their luminaires have won renowned design awards.
Over more than 10 years, GRAU developed "Sunset Dimming", a light that imitates the natural sunset and has a calming effect on body and mind. It supports the natural biorhythm and melatonin production, which promotes relaxation. Particularly recommended in the evening and at night, this warm light has no blue component, which has a positive effect on health. Unlike cold, blue light, which disrupts the sleep-wake cycle, "Sunset Dimming" regulates this cycle and promotes health.
FALLING SUN, equipped with the Sunset Dimming feature, brings the full spectrum of sunlight into your home. The new surfaces skilfully combine elegant zen with the lively cheerfulness of this iconic form, which flows into the room like a drop of sun.
Sunset Dimming: Sunset Dimming enables the sensory experience of a sunset. It is an intelligent dimming curve that adjusts both light intensity and light colour at the same time. From a clear and bright light (2700K) to a beautifully warm, golden orange-red glow (1300K), a balanced colour gradient is created. Sunset Dimming thus offers an even more sensory experience than the Warm Dim feature.
