Ethnicraft PI sideboard
The PI collection honours nature's own design by leaving strength, curves and lines as nature intended them. New shapes keep appearing in the smooth surface that gives the collection its name, “polished imperfect”. Every PI piece is finished by hand so that the wood keeps its own character.
This piece was designed by Alain van Havre. For Alain van Havre, inspiration is everything. Closely connected to his surroundings and fascinated by natural materials, he has developed exceptional woodworking expertise over the years. His own design language revolves around form itself — most clearly in collections such as Bok, Graphic, PI and Stairs. Over the past twenty years he has decisively shaped Ethnicraft's signature.
The sideboard is available in two versions: in oak and in lacquered teak in dark brown. Both can be chosen with two, three or four doors.
The piece is intended for indoor use.
Material
The construction in detail — legs: oak.
The main material is oak. The surface is treated with oil. Solid wood is a living material: grain, shade and texture differ from piece to piece — this is intended and not a defect.
