Ethnicraft PI bench | various versions
The PI collection honours nature's own design by leaving strength, curves and lines as nature intended them. New shapes keep appearing in the smooth surface that gives the collection its name, “polished imperfect”. Every PI piece is finished by hand so that the wood keeps its own character.
This piece was designed by Alain van Havre. For Alain van Havre, inspiration is everything. Closely connected to his surroundings and fascinated by natural materials, he has developed exceptional woodworking expertise over the years. His own design language revolves around form itself — most clearly in collections such as Bok, Graphic, PI and Stairs. Over the past twenty years he has decisively shaped Ethnicraft's signature.
The bench is available in two versions: in lacquered teak in brown and in oak. Both come in a choice of four lengths.
The piece is intended for indoor use. It is available in 4 sizes: 126 × 35 × 46, 146 × 35 × 46, 166 × 35 × 46, 186 × 35 × 46 cm.
Material
The main material is teak.
The main material is mahogany. The surface is treated with polyurethane lacquer. Solid wood is a living material: grain, shade and texture differ from piece to piece — this is intended and not a defect.
