Ethnicraft OSCAR desk
Ethnicraft Oscar desk
The Oscar desk by Ethnicraft combines a clear, minimalist design language with generous functionality and high-quality craftsmanship. The straight-lined teak top meets a slim black metal frame, creating a balanced contrast between natural warmth and modern lightness.
The Oscar desk was designed by Alain van Havre. The design is aimed equally at those who prefer a pared-back working environment and at users who need additional storage and clear organisation. This generous version is therefore fitted with two integrated drawers.
The fronts of the two drawers are a special detail. They are carved by hand in teak and give the otherwise straight-lined desk a fine, craft-led texture. The result is a characterful accent that further emphasises the natural presence of the wood.
With a working surface of 200 × 90 cm, the Oscar desk offers generous space for computers, documents, lamps and other work accessories. The two drawers make it possible to keep smaller work items tidy and within reach. This makes the desk ideal for generous home offices, studies and professionally furnished office areas.
The black metal legs provide a light, modern contrast to the warm teak and give the generous top a visually balanced appearance. The combination of clear lines, natural materials and hand-worked details makes the Oscar desk an enduring workplace with a character of its own.
Material
The Oscar desk is made from solid teak and combined with slim black metal legs. Teak is distinguished by its characteristic natural grain, warm colouring and high durability. The two drawer fronts are carved by hand and underline the high-quality, craft-led character of the piece.
