Ethnicraft Oblic side table
The Oblic side table by Ethnicraft combines a sculptural design language with the natural warmth of solid teak. The unusual design plays with geometric forms, movement and open voids, giving the table a dynamic and at the same time balanced presence.
The Oblic side table was designed by Alain van Havre. The starting point of the design was playful experimentation with different shapes. The deliberate use of negative space creates a particular visual dynamic: the appearance of the table changes with the viewing angle and makes it look like a new sculpture each time.
The compact round top provides a practical surface for drinks, books, lamps or decorative accessories. At the same time, the distinctive construction makes the Oblic side table an expressive design object that can be used beside a sofa or armchair as well as freestanding in the room.
The brown-tinted surface emphasises the natural grain of the teak and gives the table a warm, high-quality presence. Thanks to its compact size and sculptural design, the Oblic side table fits particularly harmoniously into modern, minimalist and naturally furnished living areas.
Material
The Oblic side table is made from solid, FSC-certified teak. The wood is given a brown tint and then a protective lacquer. This keeps the characteristic grain of the teak visible while the surface gains additional protection for daily use.
