Ethnicraft Monocle modular sofa daybed - Outdoor
The Monocle outdoor modular sofa by Ethnicraft combines elegant, clean lines with a relaxed and particularly inviting design language. The low, balanced silhouette appears refined and at the same time pleasantly grounded, making the module a stylish basis for modern outdoor lounges.
The Monocle collection was designed by Jacques Deneef. The soft, generous cushions bring a level of comfort to the outdoor area that recalls high-quality upholstered indoor furniture. At the same time, the solid teak wooden base provides natural warmth and a calm, stable look.
The version offered here is a daybed with a right or left armrest. It offers a stretched-out lying surface of 166 x 83 cm and closes off the seating arrangement on one side. Used on its own it becomes a lounger; combined, it forms the generous end of a sofa arrangement. It is delivered complete with frame and cushion set.
The modular concept allows particularly flexible arrangements. In addition to pre-configured combinations, individual frames and cushions can be selected separately and put together into a seating arrangement tailored to the respective outdoor area. Supplied clips connect the modules securely to one another. This makes Monocle suitable for compact terraces as well as for generous garden and lounge areas.
The light White colourway forms a soft contrast to the natural teak and underlines the calm, summery character of the design. The combination pairs versatilely with natural stone, concrete, wood and other neutral outdoor materials.
Material
The base of the Monocle module is made of solid teak and gives the piece natural warmth and stability. The outdoor cushions are fitted with a cover in 100 % polypropylene and have a quick-drying Quick-Dry foam filling. The module therefore combines a high level of seating comfort with materials specifically matched to outdoor use.
