Since their first collaboration with Carl Hansen & Søn in 2015, design studio EOOS has been developing a light, poetic typology that transfers the comfort and versatility of indoor lounge furniture to a wide variety of outdoor settings. Inspired by the construction of a kite - the table top as the sail, the base frame as the lines and the foot as the control unit - the E023 Embrace Outdoor Lounge Table presents a striking interplay of untreated, durable teak and stainless steel. The table top is made up of individually cut solid wood pieces, hand-sanded and assembled into a decorative, daisy-like shape. Ideal for outdoor use, the teak develops an elegant silver-grey patina over time. A sturdy stainless steel base frame, mounted on a solid teak foot, gives the table a sense of lightness and combines outdoor functionality with the homely quality of indoor furniture. The table top has been lowered slightly so that the table's height matches the Embrace Outdoor Lounge Sofa from the same series.
The E023 is made in a single version: solid teak, untreated, on a frame of solid wood and stainless steel. It is available in two diameters: Ø 48 cm made up of 37 individual pieces, ideal for smaller outdoor spaces and as a companion to the E018 Embrace Outdoor Lounge Chair, and Ø 80 cm made up of 43 individual pieces.
