Carl Hansen AH911 Outdoor Side Table/Stool
When simplicity, clarity and logic meet soft details, a beautiful and understated design language emerges. This is the essence of the AH Outdoor series, designed in 2022 by Danish architect Alfred Homann. As a designer, Homann was known for a strict aesthetic without superfluous details, as well as for his focus on functionality. At the same time, he had a preference for soft shapes. Both are reflected in the AH Outdoor series, for example in the stackable functionality of the furniture, which allows the pieces to be stored practically when the seasons change. It is also evident in the details of the wood joints, where the slats fit beautifully into the wooden frame, creating a simple and refined design language. The series comprises eleven pieces of furniture with an understated, slender expression, which can be given a personal touch and adapted to individual needs through cushion pads in weather-resistant textile. With its lightness and finesse, the AH Outdoor series – made from untreated, FSC-certified teak, a hardy wood that develops a silvery-grey patina over time – suits any outdoor space.
The AH911 is built in a single version: solid teak, untreated. The cushion can be ordered separately, with a foam core and a cover in the outdoor fabric Agora Life Oat 1760 from fabric class 1 – the only cover variant in the series. Carl Hansen & Søn offers the longer version of the same design as the AH912. The AH911 is stackable.
