Carl Hansen CH29P Sawbuck Chair
The CH29P Sawbuck Chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner, impresses with clear, simple lines and a unique construction. The seat is noticeably wider at the front and, together with the strongly curved Backrest, ingeniously provides excellent comfort in various sitting positions – while offering a stylish look. The elegant chair was discontinued in the 1970s and relaunched 20 years later at the suggestion of the Wegner family. Thanks to its organic, comfort-oriented design and unique aesthetic, it became an immediate success. Wegner was inspired by the sawbucks used by carpenters and woodcutters – but he designed the chair with Upholstery, giving it a very special touch.
The CH29P has a Frame of solid Wood, an upholstered seat and a Backrest of veneer. It is available in nine Versions: soaped, lacquered, oiled or coloured lacquered beech, as well as soaped, lacquered, oiled, white-oiled or black-lacquered oak. The Seat cushion can be covered in eight Fabric groups and three leather groups. The chair is stackable.
