The Monocle outdoor modular sofa by Ethnicraft combines elegant, clean lines with a relaxed and particularly inviting design language. The low, balanced silhouette looks refined and at the same time pleasantly down-to-earth, making the module a stylish basis for modern outdoor lounges.
The Monocle collection was designed by Jacques Deneef. The soft, generous cushions bring a comfort to the outdoor area that recalls high-quality upholstered indoor furniture. At the same time, the solid teak base provides natural warmth and a calm, stable look.
The version offered here is a pre-configured set of 1-seater + 2-seater + 2 end modules + footstool. The elements are placed loosely next to one another, joined with the supplied clips and can be rearranged at any time or extended with further modules from the collection. The set is available in mirror image – please state the left- or right-hand orientation when ordering.
The modular concept allows particularly flexible arrangements. Alongside pre-configured combinations, individual frames and cushions can be chosen separately and put together into a seating landscape matched to the outdoor area in question. Supplied clips connect the modules securely to one another. This makes Monocle suitable for compact terraces as well as for generous garden and lounge areas.
The light White colour forms a gentle contrast to the natural teak and underlines the calm, summery character of the design. The combination can be paired in many ways with natural stone, concrete, wood and other neutral outdoor materials.
Material
The base of the Monocle module is made of solid teak and gives the furniture natural warmth and stability. The outdoor cushions have a cover of 100 % polypropylene and a quick-drying Quick-Dry foam filling. The module thus combines a high level of seating comfort with materials specially matched to outdoor use.
