Carl Hansen BM1160 Hunting Table
The BM1160 Hunting Table was designed by Børge Mogensen. The name references the theme of the guild exhibition: "The Hunting Lodge". This is also reflected in the table's robustness and in the choice of materials, which puts wood centre stage. Mogensen's Hunting Table is kept somewhat narrower, which makes it suitable for smaller rooms and allows for an intimate, cosy gathering. This table was designed for everyday use and has rounded corners as well as edges in solid Wood. These features reflect Mogensen's passion for democratic design intended to be affordable for everyone. The table's stability is ensured, among other things, by two diagonal metal struts that connect the table top and Frame in an aesthetically pleasing way. Further details, such as the tenon joints on the Legs in contrasting Wood, underline the table's handcrafted expression.
The BM1160 has a Table top in veneer with edges in solid Wood and a Frame in solid Wood. It is available in two Sizes: 210 × 82 cm and 210 × 95 cm. Both Sizes are available in seven Versions: oiled oak, oiled or lacquered white, oiled or lacquered walnut, and a mixed Version with a Table top in walnut and a table Frame in oak, oiled or lacquered. The crossed struts are available in stainless steel or brass. The joints on the Legs are always executed in a Colour that contrasts with the Wood of the Frame.
