Carl Hansen FK63 bookcase
The FK63 bookcase system was developed for the individual presentation of functional and aesthetic objects and enlivens any room with its striking presence. Designed in 1963 by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm, the piece emerged from their shared interest in functional-minimalist design, with its focus on proportions, craftsmanship details and natural materials. It is made of solid FSC®-certified (FSC-C135991) oak, which is oiled to further enhance the wood's texture and grain.
This module is the flat bookcase of the system: 26.5 cm deep, with a frame of solid oak and a back panel of oak veneer, oiled or white-oiled. Villa Schmidt offers five sizes — 28 × 56 cm (5 kg), 56 × 28 cm (5 kg), 56 × 56 cm (7 kg), 112 × 56 cm (10.6 kg) and 56 × 112 cm (10.6 kg). All five are prepared for wall mounting as standard. A matching shelf is available for each module, which also serves as a divider, in oiled or white-oiled oak. The flat version does not accommodate drawers; for these, the FK63 bookcase deep version with 36 cm depth is available. All dimensions are given as height × width × depth.
