Previously found only in the historic concert halls of Copenhagen's Vega concert venue, the VLA26 Vega Chair is now being put into production by Carl Hansen & Søn in collaboration with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. Designed in the 1950s and now relaunched, the chair is a masterpiece of modernism. The functionalist design, reflecting Vilhelm Lauritzen's characteristic aesthetic, appears effortlessly simple yet full of character. Well-proportioned to offer first-class comfort, the Backrest is gently curved, almost like an embrace. Expertly crafted from Wood and steel, the chair offers first-class comfort, while the elegant Wood feet lend the stackable design an authentic feel of fine craftsmanship.
The VLA26P is the upholstered version of the Vega Chair. This product has a Frame made of chrome-plated steel. The seat and Backrest are padded with foam and available in eight Fabric groups and three leather groups. The Wood is available in four Versions: lacquered oak, oiled, white oiled or black lacquered; the feet are available exclusively in lacquered oak. A stacking protector is available at an extra cost. The unupholstered version carries the model number VLA26T.
