Operation
The large parasol is opened and closed with a smooth-running, removable stainless steel hand crank or a cordless drill (6-point hexagon bit). A precisely running internal bevel gear ensures effortless operation, even after many years.
The frame
The frame is made from very high-quality extruded aluminium alloy profiles. The frame surface is powder-coated, extremely impact- and knock-resistant, and available in the colours RAL 9010 pure white, RAL 8019 grey-brown, RAL 9006 white aluminium or RAL 7016 anthracite grey. Special colours available on request. All parts are completely care- and maintenance-free.
The top disc
Elegant, shapely, extremely functional and unscrewable. Colour matching the frame.
The joints
We place particular value on careful workmanship; that is why all axes of movement are pinned with removable bolts. This elaborate method of manufacture ensures maximum stability and durability as well as very easy handling in the event of repairs.
The canopy
Thanks to the self-tensioning telescopic spring system, the canopy still sits taut after years and can be replaced in a few minutes. The hooks at the ends of the ribs are simply unhooked and hooked back on.
The robust parasol framework
Distributor discs with support struts and ribs. To prevent the ribs from twisting, the lower distributor disc is welded firmly to the parasol mast.
Wind tunnel tested
In wind tunnel tests we were able to demonstrate the stability and high stand-firmness of our parasols. Even wind speeds of 50 km/h did no harm to a parasol with a Ø of 5 m. It is important that the base frame is weighted appropriately according to how exposed to wind the installation site is.
When not in use
During periods of bad weather, the protective cover supplied can simply be slipped over the parasol.
