Carl Hansen VLA26T Vega Chair
Previously found only in the historic concert halls of the Copenhagen concert hall Vega, the VLA26 Vega Chair is now being put into production by Carl Hansen & Søn in collaboration with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. Designed in the 1950s and now relaunched, the chair is a masterpiece of modernism. The functionalist design, which reflects Vilhelm Lauritzen's characteristic aesthetic, appears effortlessly simple yet full of character. Well proportioned to offer first-class comfort, the Backrest is gently curved, almost resembling an embrace. Expertly crafted from wood and steel, the chair offers first-class comfort, while the elegant wooden feet lend the stackable design an authentic feel of fine craftsmanship.
The VLA26T is the unupholstered Version of the Vega Chair: the seat and Backrest are made of veneer. It is available with a Frame in black powder-coated steel or chrome-plated steel. The wood is available in four versions – lacquered oak, oiled, white-oiled or black lacquered – the feet are available exclusively in lacquered oak. A stacking protector is available at an additional cost. The upholstered version carries the model number VLA26P.
