Carl Hansen E020 Embrace Table
The Embrace Table, designed by EOOS for Carl Hansen & Søn, is a functional table in which Wood and steel unite in a floating, distinctive design. The Embrace Table E020 is a stylish reinterpretation of a furniture classic, created as part of the intelligent Embrace Series. The design consists of three components: a Wood Base, a steel wire structure and a round Table top. The result is a distinctive sculptural piece, inspired by a kite in the wind. To maximise the table's functionality and legroom, the table Legs were moved towards the centre. The circular Table top is intended to encourage communication, as the round Shape and the extra legroom invite social interaction. The wooden Table top appears to almost float on the airy-looking Frame, which makes the table a perfect match for the Embrace Chair and Embrace Armchair. Designed by EOOS, the Embrace Series combines the design trio's innovative approach with the elegant craftsmanship and heritage of Carl Hansen & Søn.
The E020 is available in three diameters: Ø 79.5 cm, Ø 110 cm and Ø 139.5 cm. The Table top is made of laminate; the Oak Black version has a black laminate Table top, while all other versions have a white laminate Table top. The Table top has a wooden edge with the same surface treatment as the table Legs. Each Size is available in seven Versions: soaped oak, oiled oak, white oiled oak, black or lacquered oak, and oiled or lacquered walnut. The Frame is available in stainless steel or in black powder-coated steel.
