Carl Hansen BM1106 Huntsman Chair
The Huntsman Chair was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1950 and relaunched by Carl Hansen & Søn in 2019. The Huntsman Chair, first presented as part of Mogensen's hunting lodge theme at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild annual exhibition, also has a matching hunting table. The chair combines two different design expressions: simplicity and complexity, resulting in a spartan design with unique details. The stringent design presents itself in a robust elegance and lets the natural, high-quality materials speak for themselves: the luxurious saddle leather is held taut by buckles and fittings in steel or brass, and contrasted by a solid Wood Frame. With its strict lines, the chair can be used both as a dining chair and as a lounge chair.
The BM1106 is available in three Versions: oiled oak, white oiled oak and oiled walnut. The fittings are available in stainless steel or, at extra cost, in brass. Seat and Backrest are made of saddle leather; there is no choice of Cover for this model. The joints of the Legs are always finished in a colour contrasting with the wood of the Frame.
