In the striking design of the OW58 T-Chair, Danish designer Ole Wanscher explores his artistic possibilities without compromising on craftsmanship or seating comfort. However, the sculptural piece of furniture has been adjusted in height to offer optimal ergonomics to today's design enthusiasts, who are on average taller than in 1958. Its blend of classic and modern design language gives the chair an airy, elegant appearance. The most striking detail of the chair is its T-shaped backrest, which merges seamlessly into the closely set back legs, making the chair appear to stand on three legs. Achieving smooth transitions in the sustainable wood joints required the highest level of craftsmanship and many hours of joinery work. Overall, the T-Chair appears very light, yet it features a wide, upholstered seat surface that offers excellent seating comfort, making it an ideal dining chair.
The OW58 has a solid wood frame and a foam-upholstered seat. The frame is available in soaped, clear-lacquered, oiled, white-oiled or black oak, as well as in clear-lacquered or oiled walnut. The cover can be selected from fabric classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 12, as well as leather classes A, B and C.
