Carl Hansen FK63 cabinet
The FK63 shelving system was developed for the individual presentation of functional and aesthetic objects, and its distinctive presence enlivens any room. Designed in 1963 by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm, the piece grew out of their shared interest in functional-minimalist design, with its focus on proportions, craftsmanship details and natural materials. It is made of solid FSC®-certified (FSC-C135991) oak, which is oiled to bring out the wood's texture and grain even more.
The cabinet closes the shelving system with doors across the full module width. Frame, doors and back panel are made of solid oak and oak veneer, with handles and hinges in brass. Villa Schmidt offers two sizes — 56 × 56 × 36 cm (11.8 kg) and 56 × 112 × 36 cm (26.4 kg). Both are prepared for wall mounting. The 56 × 56 cm module is available in a left- or right-hand version. Accessories available per module include a matching oak shelf, which also serves as a divider, and a drawer in white-oiled ash. All dimensions are height × width × depth.
