Carl Hansen FK63 bookcase, deep
The FK63 bookcase system was developed for the individual presentation of functional and aesthetic objects and enlivens any room with its striking presence. Designed in 1963 by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm, the piece grew out of their shared interest in functional-minimalist design, with its focus on proportions, craftsmanship details and natural materials. It is made of solid FSC®-certified (FSC-C135991) oak, which is oiled to bring out the wood's texture and grain even more clearly.
The deep bookcase measures 36 cm in depth, which allows it to accommodate larger formats as well as a drawer. Frame in solid oak, back panel in oak veneer, oiled or white-oiled. Villa Schmidt offers five sizes — 28 × 56 cm (6.2 kg), 56 × 28 cm (6.2 kg), 56 × 56 cm (8.6 kg), 112 × 56 cm (14.1 kg) and 56 × 112 cm (14.1 kg). All are prepared for wall mounting. Accessories available per module include a matching shelf in oak, which also serves as a divider, and — except for the 56 × 28 cm module — a drawer in white-oiled ash. All dimensions are height × width × depth.
