Carl Hansen VLA75S Foyer Bench
The Foyer Bench is one of three pieces of furniture designed in 1945 by Vilhelm Lauritzen. It was originally conceived for the Copenhagen Radio House, which today houses the Royal Danish Academy of Music. The VLA75S Foyer Bench stands out for its simple design language and features an elegant, upholstered cushion with handcrafted buttons on a slender frame of solid oak. Alongside the longer original design, Carl Hansen & Søn has adapted the bench to a more compact length, so that the beauty of the original design also comes into its own in smaller spaces – ideal for private homes, hotels and restaurants.
The VLA75S is the short Version of the Foyer Bench. The Frame is made of solid wood and is available in two finishes: soaped oak or oiled oak. The Seat cushion, made of foam, can be covered in eight Fabric categories and three leather categories. The handcrafted buttons are always made in the same Cover material as the Upholstery. The long Version of the same bench carries the model number VLA75L.
