Carl Hansen CH20 Elbow Chair
When Carl Hansen & Søn first put the CH20 Elbow Chair into production in 2005, the chair quickly achieved the status of a modern classic and was awarded the ICFF Editors' Award in New York that same year. The characteristic steam-bent Backrest of the Elbow Chair is made from a single piece of solid Wood and not only provides support for the elbows and lower back but also allows for a variety of different sitting positions. The chair's unique rail construction beneath the seat, made of moulded veneer, ensures optimal stability combined with a light, floating expression.
The CH20 has a Frame of solid Wood, available in beech or oak; the seat is upholstered with foam. Beech is available soap-treated, clear lacquered, oiled or lacquered in the CHS Soft Colors (gloss 5, soft) — lacquered beech shows only minimal wood grain. Oak is available soap-treated, clear lacquered, oiled, white-oiled or black lacquered (NCS S9000-N, gloss 20) — lacquered oak has clearly visible wood grain. The Cover can be chosen from Fabric groups 1 to 4 as well as leather groups A, B and C.
