The Swiss designer Jörg Boner (b. 1968) started out as a cabinetmaker before studying design at the Schule für Gestaltung in Basel. Today he is among the defining designers of his generation and has run his own studio in Zurich for more than ten years. Alongside this he teaches at ECAL in Lausanne. Whether furniture, street lamps or LED lights, Boner’s work ranges from one-off pieces made by hand to large industrial production runs. In doing so he attaches the greatest importance to technical precision, closeness to production and the design authenticity of a company. For Wittmann, Boner engaged intensively with the history of the house and with the Austrian design tradition. His first result: Oyster — a surprising but coherent addition to the Wittmann DNA. With his curiosity, his commitment to quality and his fine feel for detail, Boner is an asset to any collaboration.

Note: creases are inherent in the design, workmanship and material and are not grounds for complaint. Colour deviations in fabrics, leathers, wood and stone (particularly natural stone/marble) as well as glass compared with the Wittmann sample collection — especially on subsequent deliveries — do not entitle you to make a complaint. Genuine leather is a purely natural product. The animals’ hides may show certain marks such as healed scratches from hedges, insect bites and the like. These marks, like colour deviations, are not defects in quality but rather signs of the natural state of the hides. In use, leather continues to “live”, so that creases form and the surface texture changes. These changes are intended and are therefore in no case grounds for complaint.
