The Seating Stones come in different versions – as a lounge chair, side chair or pouf. Inspired by natural shapes, they take up the archaic primal form of sitting and create a distinctive connection between comfort and sculptural design.
The versatile Seating Stones can be arranged into generous seating landscapes and suit a wide range of situations: informal work and lounging, relaxing or focused exchange, alone or in a team. Freely composed within a space, they set accents in creative work environments, open-plan offices, lounges or inviting entrance areas. The armchairs are also available with a practical swivel function on request.
The design is by UNStudio and Ben van Berkel, one of the most important thought leaders in contemporary architecture. A central theme of his work is the transformation of architectural shapes into sculptural forms – an approach that is also visible in the Seating Stones.

- The seat and inner back surface can only be covered in Divina and Knit fabrics. The base is also available in faux leather. Combinations of different fabric colours are only possible within one fabric type. Selected fabrics from the Kvadrat collection are available on request.
- Note: The swivel base is fitted with plastic glides. This option means no glide selection is possible.
- Depending on the cover material, additional seams may need to be incorporated.

Note: Leather hides are selected by specialists according to strict criteria and high inspection standards. Leather naturally has both soft and firm sections of hide, which may also be processed side by side. It stretches through body heat and moisture during use. This causes waves and creases (so-called seating hollows) to develop to a certain extent. Favourite seating spots show this particularly clearly. This adjustment process is largely complete after a few weeks. Further stretching is minimal and barely noticeable. Depending on the tanning method, dyeing and surface treatment, leather initially has a material-typical odour. This noticeably diminishes over the course of a few weeks and can be accelerated by airing the room. Walter Knoll uses several leather hides (between five and seven) for one upholstered seating group. No hide is identical to another. Insect bites, small injuries from fences, or marks from fighting leave small scars on the cattle hide, which can be rediscovered in the leather. Growth folds are a sign of the animal's health and good nutrition. These material-typical characteristics do not affect the quality of the leather furniture. Differences in sheen, colour and texture within a single hide and between the cut pieces of a cover are likewise characteristic and typical of leather furniture.
