The Barcode garden furniture collection is available with a visible solid FSC teak frame (teak from certified plantations) and upholstered elements as well as in the quilted version. The inner structure of the backrests and armrests is made of okoumé wood in the outdoor version. Teak
The teak selected by Varaschin is an outstanding material of high quality, ideal for making garden furniture, as it stands up very well to temperature fluctuations, water, moisture and salt. Because teak naturally contains a great deal of oil, this high-quality wood is the best suited of all timbers for outdoor applications. Teak is a tropical hardwood. Fresh teak has a honey-brown colour. When untreated teak is exposed to the weather, the honey-brown colour gradually takes on the silver-grey patina typical of aged teak.

Outdoor use
The collection is resistant to sunlight and rain. The furniture should be maintained regularly and protected in the event of particularly bad weather conditions (ice, hail, temperature fluctuations, persistent damp, extreme heat or cold). The service life and durability of our items depend on careful care. With aluminium and steel products (430, 304EP, 316), even where surface treatment makes them suitable for outdoor installation, it is essential to remove any water that has collected in the products. All items are provided with the technical drill holes required for protective treatments. Water entering and collecting can lead to rust forming inside the tubes.
The product is suitable for use in a maritime climate and for installation next to chlorinated swimming pools. Recommendations: proper maintenance and cleaning are essential in order to preserve the integrity of the components for as long as possible. To keep the products in good condition at all times, they should be washed weekly with plenty of salt-free water in order to remove as far as possible the salt that attacks them. Only in this way can the product reliably be kept in good condition.
