The E6 winds its way along the coast all the way to Kirkenes, right to the tip of Scandinavia, where Norway meets Russia. But those who turn off at Kragenäs, in Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast, and follow the road across two bridges, reach Resö. A fishing village in the archipelago that was threatened with dying out and has now become a wonderful place for visitors. Here you can sit on the veranda of the guest house by the sea and enjoy a beer. And as we looked out over this archipelago, we had this idea for a chair. A construction that sets the soft and elegant lines of steel against the robust load-bearing capacity of the woven fabric. A chair that can be adapted in many ways without losing its profile. So we left the veranda, drove home and designed this chair. Those who do not take the E6 exit to Kragenäs but continue for another sixteen hundred kilometres to Kirkenes pass Narvik on their way, the port where the iron ore from Kiruna is shipped and processed into steel. The circle closes, even if you are still in Bohuslän.
If you wish to keep the original appearance of the Resö collection in outdoor use, the pieces can be oiled once a year. Otherwise a beautiful grey patina will slowly develop, making Resö even more distinctive.
