Sika Design Paris lounge chair • garden armchair
Garden armchair with an aluminium frame and polyrattan weave.
Sika Design Paris outdoor armchair
The Paris lounge chair was Arne Jacobsen's first design. In 1925 the chair was shown at the Paris Art Deco exhibition and won a silver medal. Afterwards Arne Jacobsen saw Le Corbusier's "L'Esprit Nouveau" pavilion, which inspired his next designs. In 1929 he won a gold medal for an ultra-modern concept, "The House of the Future". The house was built for the exhibition, and Arne Jacobsen was thereby regarded as one of the most visionary and progressive Danish architects of his time. The exterior lounge chair is made of woven Artfibre and has an aluminium frame. This makes the chair weather-resistant, and it can stand outdoors for years. The Affaire collection is made perfectly for outdoor use. The Paris lounge chair lets you enjoy the garden all day long.
The weave
The weave of the Paris collection consists of a synthetic material that is absolutely resistant to weathering and remains colourfast over time. It is hand-woven and has a surface that feels very pleasant and looks very natural.
