Paula is a sofa bed that spends the day not looking like one: quietly drawn, with side panels that fold down in stages and become armrests once lowered. To convert it, the seat is lifted slightly in the middle and pulled forward; the seat cushion and the backrest then fold into the space that opens up.
Paula comes in three widths. Type 136 measures 152 to 200 cm with a sleeping area of 133 × 209 cm, type 160 measures 176 to 224 cm at 157 × 209 cm, and type 180 measures 196 to 244 cm at 177 × 209 cm — depending on how far the side panels are folded down.
- Frame: solid beech, veneered panels
- Suspension: sprung wooden slats
- Upholstery: multi-layer polyether foam with fibre covering, seat cushions in cold foam, relaxed finish
- Cushions: polyether sticks + fibre filling
- Feet: beech to the Signet colour sample, oak at a surcharge
- Seat and back cushion covers are removable (leather always fixed upholstery)
- Sofa bed on rubber castors, suitable for parquet
- Side panels fold down in stages (standard)
