Thermo-treated ash
Thermo-treated wood is durable, functional and environmentally friendly. Free of chemicals, harmless in use and not sourced from threatened rainforests. Thermo treatment is a computer-controlled process in which wood is heated at high temperature in a special kiln. No chemicals are used in this process. The action of the heat changes the cell structure of the wood — moisture, bacteria and acids are driven out. In addition, two coats of oil have already been applied to the product to maximise durability.
