The Roda Nap outdoor rocking chair is the meeting point between function and play, with an unexpected combination of the constant movement of the rocker and the static nature of the seat. This piece offers you the pleasure of the daytime, in the shade of a tree or a garden pavilion, or of the evening, bedded on soft cushions, falling asleep beneath a blanket of stars.
The original design by Gordon Guillaumier emphasises the pronounced rectilinear geometry of the timeless Roda Nap rocking chair. Hard-wearing stainless steel is outstandingly suited to Nap's frame, which is combined with high-quality teak. The Nap rocking chair shows a successful union of natural and high-technology materials that are perfectly suited to creating original outdoor solutions.
The Roda Nap rocking chair transforms any space very elegantly into a cosy and comfortable seating area. The robust powder-coated stainless steel structure with the strict line of the backrests and seats is combined with the absolute comfort of the cushions.
The powder-coated steel of the frame is treated with an electrolytic hard iron phosphating process. This priming guarantees higher corrosion resistance and removes harmful substances. The effect is reinforced by a subsequent nanotechnological anti-corrosion treatment and a polyester-based electrostatic powder coating, which gives the product more protection against scratches and also its final colour. When used outdoors, an oxidation patina 1/2 mm thick forms on the wood surface, which encourages the change of colour to a silver-grey tone. This change does not affect the original properties in any way. With correct care, the grey patina can be avoided or removed.
