The Alga dining table stands out through its round table top with a diameter of 90 cm and its fine workmanship. The structure of the table is made of lacquered aluminium, woven with 3-4 mm Shinotex fibres in the colour 03 Toast. This high-strength and recyclable fibre developed by POINT gives the table not only a durable and easy-care surface but also an appealing design.
The Alga dining table has a particular history going back to the 1920s, when José Pons Pedro, the founder of POINT, included this model in his first collections. Pedro gave the table his personal signature in terms of design and quality. Especially remarkable is the structure of the table, woven entirely in the air, which has no visible support from the seat surface onwards. The armrests and the upper backrest are carried by the fabric projecting from the seat surface, which gives the table exceptional lightness and firmness.
