Louis Poulsen PH 3½-2½ • floor lamp
The PH 3½-2½ floor lamp by Louis Poulsen is a timeless design by Poul Henningsen from 1925/26. The collaboration with Louis Poulsen lasted until Henningsen's death in 1967. The main focus was on glare-free light, soft shadows and targeted light direction. The lamp belongs to a series of 30 models with a three-part shade, originally made of metal and later of glass. The model designation refers to the size of the shade segments. The PH 3½-2½ floor lamp in its present form was introduced in 2002.

Lighting concept
The lamp is based on the principle of a reflecting three-shade system that directs most of the light downwards. The shades are made of mouth-blown, opalised, three-layer glass, glossy on the outside and matt sandblasted on the inside. This produces a soft and diffuse distribution of light.
