The PANTHELLA floor lamp by Louis Poulsen is the result of the collaboration between the designer and architect Verner Panton (1926–1998) and Louis Poulsen in 1971. Panton's figurative and playful design reflects his singular personality. As a world-famous Dane, he always created colourful and fascinating settings with his appealing designs, without neglecting quality and functionality.
The organic form of the Panthella floor lamp, which reflects the soft light, marks it out as one of Panton's most significant design icons. He set out to design a luminaire in which not only the shade but also the base acts as a reflector. He combined this vision with his characteristic organic formal language, which distinguishes him to this day. With its glare-free light, the Panthella demonstrates Panton's outstanding feel for atmospheric lighting.

Lighting concept
The luminaire produces a glare-free, soft and pleasant light. The opal acrylic shade spreads a diffuse and comfortable lighting atmosphere. It is translucent and guides the light from the inside downwards, where it is reflected by the trumpet-shaped stem of the lamp.
