The MINNIE sofa bed chair from Franz Fertig is an unassuming companion for small rooms that can do more than it shows. On a footprint of 78 cm it sits like a single armchair — pulled out, it offers a sleeping surface of 78 × 200 cm, giving full sleeping length for a guest who stays longer.
The transformation works via a telescopic pull-out mechanism made of solid beech wood with a handcrafted dovetail guide. The backrest folds forward on hinge straps to complete the sleeping surface. Three armrest variants are available: fixed armrests in 12 cm or 17 cm width, or folding armrests in 10 cm width, which can be adjusted horizontally, to 45°, or vertically via upholstered joints.
MINNIE is a modular system. The sofa bed chair can be combined with the wider body types, the chaise longue with storage box, and the stool to form a corner group from 179 cm width.
