Like the curve of a bending branch, the Vime outdoor lounge chair combines organic lines with generous seating comfort. The name comes from the Portuguese word for willow.
The sculptural teak Frame is strung with a fine cord that gives the seat its elasticity and fills the open frame like a Weave. On top sits a generous cushion set made from weather-resistant fabric.
Vime belongs to the Morpho by Tomorrowland collection, designed by the Tomorrowland Design Studio in collaboration with architect Dieter Vander Velpen. The collection combines contemporary design with the organic spirit of Art Nouveau — from the fine structure of a dragonfly wing to the curves of roots and branches.
Frame and cushion set can be ordered separately or together — in the shop, choose the Frame as the Variant and the cushion set as the Version.
Material
The Frame is made of solid teak — untreated in natural tone or lacquered black — strung with a cord made of 100% polypropylene multifilament. Untreated teak weathers evenly outdoors to a silvery tone. The cushions are filled with quick-drying foam and covered with weather-resistant outdoor fabric.
