Ethnicraft OSCAR sideboard
Ethnicraft Oscar sideboard
The Oscar sideboard by Ethnicraft combines generous storage with a clear, modern and at the same time craft-led design language. Open compartments, closed areas and a balanced horizontal silhouette make the sideboard a versatile piece for living, dining and working areas.
The Oscar sideboard was designed by Alain van Havre. The design is conceived as a functional multitasker: the open areas are ideal for presenting books, art objects and personal accessories, while the sliding doors and drawers provide additional closed storage for documents and other items.
The unusual grooves in the fronts of the two sliding doors are particularly characteristic. Each narrow groove is carefully carved by hand. This creates slight differences in the surface that make every Oscar sideboard an individual piece with a craft-led character.
At 224 cm wide, the sideboard offers plenty of room for storage and display. The combination of natural teak, black-tinted teak and black metal legs creates a striking contrast and gives the piece an enduring, architectural presence.
Material
The Oscar sideboard is made from natural solid teak and black-tinted solid teak, combined with black metal legs. The natural structure and grain of the wood remain deliberately visible and underline the warm character of the material. The hand-carved fronts additionally provide a high-quality, individual surface effect.
