Ethnicraft Nomad Kilim rug | various sizes
The Nomad Kilim rug by Ethnicraft combines traditional craftsmanship with a natural, warm and timeless design language. Its restrained Sand colouring and the lively textile structure create a calm basis for modern, minimalist and naturally furnished living areas.
The Nomad Kilim rug is made in collaboration with Ashtari Carpets and is woven by hand using traditional methods. Carefully selected yarns give it a characterful surface with a natural texture and make the rug a high-quality piece of craft homeware.
Because the rug is made on a traditional loom and not machine-controlled, slight differences in dimensions, colour and structure can occur. The hand-dyed yarn can also show individual nuances. These variations are a deliberate part of the character of the Nomad Kilim rug and make every example unique.
The warm sand colour combines particularly readily with wood, natural stone, linen and other natural materials. With its dimensions of 170 × 240 cm, the rug is ideally suited to living areas, dining rooms, bedrooms or as a textile base beneath a sofa landscape.
The natural oil content of the sheep's wool used contributes to a hard-wearing and durable surface. At the same time, the wool has a pleasantly warm and natural feel, which makes the Nomad Kilim both decorative and suitable for everyday use.
Material
The Nomad Kilim rug is made from 100 % locally sourced, hand-spun sheep's wool. The yarn is worked by hand and then woven traditionally. Wool is distinguished by its natural warmth, durability and longevity. The natural oil content of the wool fibres additionally supports the robust and characterful surface of the rug.
