The Monocle outdoor modular sofa by Ethnicraft combines elegant, clean lines with a relaxed and particularly inviting design language. The low, balanced silhouette looks refined and at the same time pleasantly grounded, making the module a stylish basis for modern outdoor lounges.
The Monocle collection was designed by Jacques Deneef. The soft, generous cushions bring a comfort to the outdoor area that recalls high-quality indoor upholstered furniture. At the same time, the solid teak base provides natural warmth and a calm, stable appearance.
The version offered here is a 2-seater centre module without armrests. At 166 x 83 cm it forms the wide base element of the seating landscape and can be combined with end modules, daybeds and footstools from the Monocle collection. It is delivered complete with frame and cushion set.
The modular concept allows particularly flexible arrangements. Alongside preconfigured combinations, individual frames and cushions can be chosen separately and assembled into a seating landscape matched to the outdoor area in question. The clips supplied connect the modules securely to one another. This makes Monocle suitable both for compact terraces and for generous garden and lounge areas.
The light colourway White forms a soft contrast to the natural teak and underlines the calm, summery character of the design. The combination can be paired in many ways with natural stone, concrete, wood and other neutral outdoor materials.
Material
The base of the Monocle module is made of solid teak and gives the piece natural warmth and stability. The outdoor cushions have a cover of 100 % polypropylene and a quick-drying Quick-Dry foam filling. The module thus combines a high level of seating comfort with materials specifically matched to outdoor use.
