The Bok bench by Ethnicraft combines sculptural elegance with a light, timeless and particularly well-balanced design language. The characteristic curved lines of the Bok collection recall the curved horns of a goat and give the bench its elegant, unmistakable silhouette.
The Bok bench was designed by Alain van Havre. Its slim, outward-splaying legs and the pared-back seat make the construction appear light and airy, while the solid oak provides stability and a natural, high-quality character.
The bench was conceived as a harmonious complement to the Bok dining table, where it creates an open and uncomplicated seating solution. At the same time it can be used in many ways as a piece in its own right — along a wall, in the hallway, in the bedroom at the foot of the bed or as additional seating in living and dining areas.
The natural oak or teak surface emphasises the characteristic grain of the wood and gives the bench a warm, timeless appearance. Its clear design makes the Bok bench easy to combine with different materials and interior styles.
Material
The Bok bench is made from solid oak or teak. The natural surface is treated with hard-wax oil, which preserves the grain and the warm colour effect of the wood particularly well. The finish protects the surface in daily use while retaining the natural feel of the oak.
